New Delhi: IIT Delhi in association with DSP, DRDO, Hyderabad organized an outreach programme on Space Technologies for enabling interaction and close collaboration between academia and DRDO under aegis of Space Technologies Panel (STP) of Aero Research & Development Board (AR&DB), DRDO on space-based technologies and their applications in the military domain. 

Mr. L.C. Mangal, Director General, Technology Management, DRDO was the Chief Guest for this outreach event organized on March 21, 2025. Prof. Rajendra Singh, Associate Dean, IRD, IIT, Delhi, Dr. R. Samundhariah, former Outstanding Scientist, ISRO & Chairman, STP and Dr. Anupam Sharma, OS & Director, DSP Hyderabad & Co-Chairman of STP addressed the faculty about the existing collaboration areas and futuristic technologies in Space domain.

This outreach program was attended by about 100 eminent faculty members from various Universities and Institutions. Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Mr. Pawan Kumar, VM and Director General Defense Space Agency and Dr. Ranjana, Director, DFTM, DRDO were also present.

Dr. Sanjay Pandey, Secretary, AR&DB, DRDO outlined various funding mechanisms to indigenize technologies under DRDO and urged faculty to come up with innovative solutions to various technologies in Space sector.  Various Professors from IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur presented the futuristic technologies that could be indigenized in the country in space sector.
