ReNew Power Centre of Excellence at IIT Delhi cordially invites you for
a Panel Discussion on "Challenges & Opportunities for large-scale RE
integration: A 2030 perspective" on 1st March 2023 from 5 - 6:30 pm
India stands 4th in the renewable energy installed capacity global
ranking (as per REN21 Renewables 2022 Global Status Report) and is set
on a path to achieve 500 GW of installed RE capacity by 2030 and achieve
net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. In pursuing this ambitious target,
the sector will be facing various challenges to ensure large scale
integration of renewable energy.
These challenges also bear opportunities such as achieving stability,
reliability and flexibility in the grid with the support of energy
storage, reducing fuel-import dependency and maximizing overall economic
Thus, integration of RE into the national grid is of critical importance
and involves integrated functioning of power system planning,
interconnection and operation in order to ensure efficient and
cost-effective utilisation of renewable energy while maintaining the
stability and reliability of electricity delivery.
In this context, our esteemed panel (see attachment) will share valuable
insights on the emerging challenges, opportunities and solutions for
ensuring smooth integration of large scale RE in India's national grid.
We hope to see you at the event.
When: 1st March 2023 from 5 - 6:30 pm (IST)
Where: Seminar Hall, IIT Delhi.
Panel discussion will be followed by High Tea.
