New Delhi, March 1, 2025 – The INTENT INITIATIVE, hosted by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) at IIT Delhi, successfully brought together leading industry experts, researchers, and academia to drive innovation through collaboration. Held at the Research & Innovation (R&I) Park, the event focused on advancing industry-academia partnerships for solving real-world challenges.

  • Industry-Led Insights: Experts from JK Tyre, Marico, L&T, Jindal Stainless, and more shared breakthroughs in sustainable materials, AI-driven defect detection, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Strategic Panel Discussions: Leading minds from Tata Power, Hindalco, and HHV debated industry trends, lab-to-market scalability, and India’s journey towards net-zero emissions.
  • Hands-On Networking: Industry delegates explored research collaborations, internships, and startup opportunities with DMSE, IIT Delhi.
  • Career & Curriculum Advancement: Discussions with Multiple industry collaborators paved the way for student internships, industry-aligned coursework, and skill development programs.

The event concluded with a firm commitment to fostering long-term research collaborations, exploring opportunities for endowments, and establishing an Industry Advisory Board. These initiatives will ensure a sustained partnership between academia and industry.
