New Delhi: IIT Delhi, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) Government of India, proudly announces the remarkable success of the NURTURE Program — a flagship initiative launched in July 2023 with the mission to uplift SC/ST students by equipping them with future-ready skills in emerging and transformative technologies.

Driven by I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Delhi, the program has trained over 50,000 SC/ST students across 600 institutes nationwide in just 13 months. NURTURE places a strong emphasis on both technical proficiency and career empowerment, aiming to bridge the opportunity divide and foster inclusive, innovation-led growth.

Technology for Empowerment

The NURTURE curriculum delivers immersive, hands-on training in key technological domains, including: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Drone Technology, Medical Technology, and more

Building Careers, Breaking Barriers: IHFC in partnership with 20+ leading industry and academic collaborators, is ensuring world-class content delivery and real-world exposure, supported by a robust training ecosystem and expert mentors. All participants receive certification upon completion, significantly boosting their employability in today’s tech-driven economy.

A core focus on gender inclusivity has enabled the program to reach over 20,000 girls and approximately 30,000 boys, thanks to close collaboration with organizations dedicated to girls' education and empowerment.

A Vision for Sustainable Impact

“The NURTURE Program reflects our commitment to democratizing access to technology education,” said Dr. Ekta Kapoor, Mission Director, Department of Science and Technology.

“By focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and employability, we are cultivating a new generation of confident, capable change makers across all strata.”

“When IHFC got the opportunity to scale NURTURE across India, we were thrilled,” said Prof. S.K. Saha, Project Director, IHFC. “It aligned perfectly with our vision of making deep-tech learning and STEM education accessible from the grassroots to the top, ensuring that India becomes STEM-equipped at every level.”

As the NURTURE Program continues to scale, IHFC is committed to expanding its reach and deepening its network of corporate and academic partners, ensuring no student is left behind in the journey toward a digitally empowered India.
