New Delhi: Her Excellency Mrs. Raquel Peña Rodríguez, Vice President of the Dominican Republic, visited IIT Delhi on October 4, 2023.

During her visit, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Dominican Republic (MESCYT) and #IITDelhi signed an MoU for academic collaboration.

Under the MoU, students from the Dominican Republic will get fully funded scholarships from their government to study at IIT Delhi in Masters and PhD programmes. 

Ambassador José Julio Gómez, Vice Minister of Bilateral Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, and Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, signed he MoU. 

Her Excellency Mrs. Raquel Peña Rodríguez also interacted with startups at the Institute's Research and Innovation Park.
