Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Organises Special Orientation Workshop

New Delhi: A special orientation workshop for the Participating Institutions under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan was organised by IIT Delhi at its Research & Innovation Park on the campus on Tuesday. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a central sector scheme of the Ministry of Education, and IIT Delhi is coordinating it on the national level.
There are approximately 3500 participating institutions under the scheme. The workshop was held in a hybrid format for Participating Institutions from across the country, with the Regional Coordinating Institution-NCR Region Participating Institutions physically present.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, in the presence of Sh. Varun Vidyarthi, Founder and CEO, Manavodaya, Lucknow; Prof. V K Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan; and Dr. Gajanan Dange, President, Yojak, and other key stakeholders of the scheme.
Prof. VK Vijay, the National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, shared the mandate of the scheme and elaborated on the progress made so far.
Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, shared his views about the programme and explained its importance and the possible impact that the students can make. He mentioned that Unnat Bharat Abhiyan plays a pivotal role in the inclusive development of villages and emphasised the importance of community engagement and innovation.
Sh. Varun Vidyarthi, the keynote speaker for the workshop, has vast field experience and has been working on the ground for many years. He shared his field experiences and mentioned many real stories that relate to challenges faced and their resolution.
Dr. Gajanan Dange, President of Yojak, participated virtually and shared the requisite methodology for working on the field.
