Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Awards Competitive Perennial Grant of Rs 1.75 lakh each to 78 selected Participating Institutes for effective implementation of Govt.’s flagship programme

On the occasion of the country’s 74th Independence Day, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the flagship programme of the Ministry of Education, declared the winners of Perennial Fund Award.
Under the award, a cash prize of Rs 1.75 lakh will be given to each of the selected Participating Institutes who have implemented the programme in an effective manner.
The UBA also declared the winners of a photo story competition titled ‘Unnati Ki kahani Chitro Ki Zubani’.
The results were announced by Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Chairman, National Steering Committee (NSC), UBA and Prof V. Ramgopal Rao, Co-Chairman, NSC UBA & Director, IIT Delhi in the presence of Prof VK Vijay, National Coordinator, UBA; Prof Vivek Kumar and Prof Priyanka Kaushal, National Co-Coordinators, UBA.
In total, 78 selected Participating Institutes of the UBA will be awarded Perennial Fund Award of Rs. 1.75 lakh each for the effective implementation of the programme by them i.e participation in Gram Sabhas, preparation of Village Development Report, making some technical interventions for the holistic development of the adopted villages.

Nearly 290 applications were received for this award. The award’s objective is to create competition among the Participating Institutes for the impactful delivery of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan mandate.
Five winning institutes (out of 840 applications) of the photo story competition will get a cash prize of Rs 5000 each.
