Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi celebrated the 74th Independence Day of the nation with patriotic fervor. Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi hoisted the tricolor on the campus.

Prof AK Ganguli, Dy Director (Strategy & Planning) and Prof TC Kandpal, Dy Director (Operations), were present on this occasion.

This year, the IIT Delhi community watched the celebrations online as the entire event was streamed live.

Addressing the faculty, staff and students, the Director spoke of the various contributions the institute has made in the fight against COVID-19. The innovators of these products also explained about their research work through recorded interviews.

The audience witnessed the IIT Delhi’s preparedness to deal with the pandemic through a small film that was played.

Today, IIT Delhi also honored its staff with “Sansthan Incentive Award-2019" and "Shri Ram Rishi Singh & Mrs. Malti Singh Memorial Staff Cash Award-2019" for performing exceedingly well in the year 2019.
