The entire world is coping with the global crisis of COVID-19. Social distancing and home confinement have emerged as the key to fight this pandemic. Evolution of a new culture is being experienced across the world.

Agencies across the country are scuttling to limit the fatalities from COVID-19. The role of IITs and particularly centres related to rural technologies have increased in the new global paradigm after COVID-19 pandemic for making the country/ states/cities/villages self-reliant.

Reverse migration is taking place in India (mainly labourers) and it is duty of all of us technocrats to provide technologies, which can provide sustainable livelihood to rural people.

To this end Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship program of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and a network of 2600 higher education institutes with its footprint in 13000 odd village, has acted swiftly to fight the deadly virus.
