Title of the Talk: The Art and Science of Research

Abstract:
Is there an algorithm for doing great research?  Probably not. There are however, some guiding principles that can be identified in the "art and science of research”.  The speaker will discuss various aspects of these principles giving examples from science and mainly from mathematics by way of illustrations.
