IIT Delhi will be establishing a "Centre for Advanced Research and Excellence in Disability and Assistive Technology (CARE-DAT)" jointly with AIIMS, New Delhi. This COE funding is by ICMR for a period of five years. Prof. Amit Mehndiratta, Associate Professor IIT Delhi and Faculty In-charge Biomedical Engineering, AIIMS, New Delhi is the PI from IIT Delhi for the COE. COE is mandated to design technological solutions, therapeutic protocols and clinical validation for solutions that can facilitate rehabilitation of patients with stroke. This COE will take the existing research products for commercial ready stage and give IIT Delhi a platform to design new products and assistive technologies that can help clinicians or stroke patients in neurorehabilitation.
