Hostel Accommodation
For PG/Ph.D Full Time Students only
There is a severe hostel crunch in the campus due to which it is NOT possible to provide hostel accommodation to postgraduate (PG) students (including PhD). However, the Institute strives to provide a hostel seat (normally on sharing basis only) on priority, if available, to admitted female students, students with special needs (SwD - Students with Disabilities, formally admitted as PwD) and foreign nationals. Hence, it is to be noted that the offer of admission at IIT Delhi does not guarantee on-campus accommodation. The best support, pertaining to accommodation, is in form of providing the contact information of some off-campus accommodation that may be available within walking distance of the campus. Please note that these off-campus accommodations, if available, operate independent of IIT Delhi. Further, while staying off-campus, there are provisions for making one of our on-campus messes available to students for food on monthly subscription basis.
